they said, “Can God really spread a table in the wilderness?" (Psalm 78:19)
Can God ... ? - The question is asked in unbelief. God hears the unbelieving question, and He gives His answer. It is the answer of His grace.
"Yet he gave a command to the skies above
and opened the doors of the heavens;
24 he rained down manna for the people to eat,
he gave them the grain of heaven.
25 Human beings ate the bread of angels;
he sent them all the food they could eat." (Psalm 78:23-25)
This is amazing grace. It is undeserved grace. It is grace that is freely given. We do not earn God's grace. It is given to us. Everything good in us comes from the Lord. It comes as a result of His love, reaching us and changing us. He overcomes our unbelief, He leads us out of unbelief and into faith.
