"But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations." (Psalm 102:12)
We hear a great deal about the generation gap. The old people don't understand the young people. The young people don't listen to the old people. How can we overcome this generation gap. Jesus Christ overcomes the generation gap. He is "the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). When old and young are united in Christ, the gap does not seem to be so wide at all. The gap between God and humanity - old and young - has been bridged by Jesus Christ, our Saviour. In Him, we rejoice. We give thanks that He has brought us together. We are no longer the old and the young, set over against each other. There may be many differences between the old and the young - but, in the things that really matter, we belong together because, we, both, belong to Christ.
