"As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins ... 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved." (Ephesians 2:1,4-5)
Down we go - deep into our own sin. Up we come - high into the glory of our God. Who is it that lifts us up. Do we lift ourselves up? No! It's the Lord who lifts us up. He finds us down in the depths. He lifts us up to the heights. All of this happens to us - because God is the God of love, grace and mercy. There is no-one else like the Lord. What He does for us no-one else could ever do for us!
