"Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah? ... The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha" (2 Kings 2:14-15). The work of the Lord goes on. His servants don't last forever. They do their work for God, and then their work is done. They must hand it over to someone else. This is more than a human passing on of the work from one servant of the Lord to another. Here, we have the ongoing work of God's Spirit.

"Always be joyful in the Lord ... I know how to live in poverty or prosperity" (Philippians 4:4,12).In the Lord - This is the important thing. Poverty with the Lord is better than prosperity without Him.
