"There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1).
What a wonderful Word from the Lord this is! Wherever we look in our life, we feel that we are condemned - but, here, God says something else about us. he says something very wonderful. Jesus was not condemned. He is "God's beloved Son." God is "well pleased" with Him (Matthew 3:17). We say, "But that's Jesus - not us." True - but note what Paul tells us here. He says that we are "in Christ Jesus". When God looks on us, He does not see our sin. He sees His Son. He sees Jesus, our Saviour - and He says, " For you, in Christ Jesus, there is now no condemnation."
