"Remember, O God, that my life is but a breath; my eyes will never see happiness again." (Job 7:7)
"My eyes will never see happiness again" - What are we to do when we feel like this? We are to tell God about it - "Remember, O God." There are times when we feel like God has forgotten about us. He hasn't! He still remembers us. How do we know that He remembers us? He gave His Son, Jesus, to die for us. We ask, "Can I be happy again?" God says to us, "Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead" (2 Timothy 2:8). The resurrection of Jesus Christ - this is where our true and lasting joy comes from.
