In Ezekiel 14, we read about people turning away from the Lord, people turning to idols. Does God turn His back on them? When we read on to verse 11, we find these wonderful words: "Then the people of Israel will no longer stray from me, nor will they defile themselves anymore with all their sins. They will be my people, and I will be their God, declares the Sovereign Lord." This Word from the Lord is very special. He is the God of mercy. He is the God of grace. He loves us. His love is stronger than our sin. When we hear about his love, we are drawn by His love - drawn back to Him, drawn to return to Him and to rejoice in Him again.

"Always be joyful in the Lord ... I know how to live in poverty or prosperity" (Philippians 4:4,12).In the Lord - This is the important thing. Poverty with the Lord is better than prosperity without Him.
